How to Make Egg Tray? – Paper Egg Tray Machine Working Process
Step1 Waste Paper Pulping
- Feed: The cardboard sheets are transported to the egg tray maker machine by the feeding system.
- Crushed paper: The hydraulic pulper crushes the waste paper with water for 20 minutes (suggested proportion of 1:5 or 1:6), forming the paper pulp.
- Uniform pulp: The pulp is adjusted for consistency in a homogenizer and flows into the finished pulp tank after uniform mixing.
Step2 Egg Tray Molding
Under the action of the vacuum system, paper pulp enters the egg tray production machine. Excess water is separated through the water vapor separation tank. Then the pulp fibers begin to bond together to form the shape of the egg tray inside the mold.
Step3 Egg Tray Drying
The metal dryer begins to work to dry the semi-wet egg trays. Its special circulation fan and automatic dehumidification system drive hot air circulation to dry the wet egg trays. This ensures they meet the necessary quality standards.
Step4 Egg Tray Packaging (Optional)
This process is generally optional. The scattered egg trays are transported to the stacker where they are neatly arranged into stacks. Then they are moved to the packer for final wrapping and encapsulation.

The automatic metal drying line heats the air using fuel and then evenly blows hot air at around 200°C onto the wet egg trays through the fan. This accelerates the evaporation of moisture to get dry finished trays. The entire drying process takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
